Create Orders

You can create orders from either the Customer or Order module.

When you create an order from the customer record, the customer is automatically selected. You can also create an order from the Active Cart tab in the customer record.
When you create an order from the Order module, you must select the customer.

During order creation, the system records details of all the promotions that impact a cart. The saved promotions might be re-evaluated when a modification is made to the shipments of the order. Only saved promotions are eligible for that order after the order has been submitted.

There are four fulfillment methods you can select when you create an order.

Ship to store - Use this method when you want the order shipped to a specified store.
Shipping - Use this method when you want the order shipped to an address.
Delivery - Use this method when you want the order delivered to an address.
Pick-Up - Use this method when you want the order prepared so the customer can pick the order from a specified location. This fulfillment location can be either a physical store or a warehouse that supports this type of fulfillment.
